Nima Shahbazi is a Research Scientist at Megagon Labs, where he works at the intersection of data management and AI. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago under the supervision of Dr. Abolfazl Asudeh. His doctoral work on algorithmic fairness and responsible AI earned him the UIC College of Engineering Exceptional Research Promise Award. Outside of his research, he is an avid reader, gym-goer, and amateur mixologist who enjoys cooking and hitting the floor at swing dance socials.
