Technical Product Manager

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be productizing NLP research results, and play a key role in tech transfer to our subsidiaries for production deployment. Your role will require you to work closely with research and engineering teams and bridge the gap in transforming research into deliverables. This is not a typical product role; we have a finite set of potential internal customers within our family of companies, and are engaged in maturing cutting-edge NLP and AI research outputs for real-world use.

Responsibilities

Overall:

• own 1 or 2 ongoing projects which take research and/or proof-of-concept results through to collaboration and eventual production deployment
• help define a roadmap for ongoing projects as they mature into collaborations with our partners
• maintain relationships with our partner-stakeholders, stakeholder prospects, internal research and development teams

Any given week, you might also find yourself engaged in:

• vetting, acquiring, and sometimes cleaning new data sets for training/test/evaluation
• going deep into Megagon research and proof-of-concept outputs and assessing those capabilities for mapping to real-world uses
• need-finding with stakeholders, researchers, etc, as well as out “in the wild” 
• light hands-on prototyping of architectures and techniques focused on basic validation of technical concepts – inclusive of data analysis, preparation, sampling, model training, and evaluation; creating low-fi mockups
• maintaining high-level tracking of important measurements, such as active projects in our Leaderboard, KPIs, and other metrics shared with our partner-stakeholders, etc.

Qualifications

• BS / MS in a STEM field
• demonstrable experience with data analysis and/or data science
• your relevant work experience includes a background in product delivery
• overall relevant work experience – BS & 3+ years or MS & 1+ years
• hands-on ML experience
• bonus if you have a background in NLP, graph algorithms, deep learning
• proficient in coding using an open-source stack
